The NBA has released the schedule for the 2024 Play-In Tournament, which will be held from April 11th to April 14th. The tournament will feature eight teams competing for the final two spots in the NBA playoffs.
The four teams with the worst records in each conference will participate in the play-in tournament. The teams will be seeded 7th through 10th based on their regular-season records. The 7th and 8th seeds will play each other, and the winner will advance to the playoffs. The loser of that game will play the winner of the game between the 9th and 10th seeds. The winner of that game will advance to the playoffs.
The play-in tournament has been a part of the NBA playoffs since 2020. The tournament has been a success, with several teams making unexpected runs to the playoffs. In 2021, the Miami Heat went from the play-in tournament to the NBA Finals.
The 2024 NBA Play-In Tournament will be televised on ESPN and TNT. The games will also be available to stream on NBA TV.
